This brand new technology is now being used for our Dove Body Wash bottles. We estimate saving of up to 27,000 tonnes of plastic resin a year once this technology is fully applied across our portfolio of products. In future years, this could deliver potential cost savings of up to €50 million.

The development of this gas injection technology, in conjunction with MuCell Extrusion has allowed Coveris to offer to the market two new products for Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) sheet, Neocell. Neocell allows us to eliminate the use of chemical foaming agents, which for us leads to a cleaner process, with much more control over the expansion, as the quantity of gas injected is metered very accurately.”
